I’ve been wanting to try zucchini pasta for the longest time, but I don’t have one of these spiralizers so I decided to “cheat” and buy the ready-made kind. They are pre-washed and ready to use.

Most grocery stores sell these veggie noodles. The cost is a bit hefty but sometimes it’s worth it for the convenience. Getting a home-cooked meal on the table – quick and easy – goes a long way when it comes to your health. Stir-frying zucchini noodles takes under 5 minutes!

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with regular pasta – especially whole grain. It’s just fun to change things up once in a while; it keeps meals interesting and prevents boredom. You can make your own veggie noodles or use the pre-packaged kind like I did. For convenience, I used a lower sodium jarred pasta sauce but you can make your own.

Eating plenty of vegetables supports a healthy weight because they are low in calories, high in fiber, and nutrient dense. Aim for about 3 cups per day of vegetables. If you find this challenging like many people do, give these veggie noodles a try. They are convenient, versatile, and (best of all) tasty.
