ID-100200007Did you know there are about 10 teaspoons of sugar in a can of regular soda? That much sugar packs a lot of calories! In fact, estimates show that adding just one can of soda (140 calories) per day to a typical American diet could lead to a 3 lb. weight gain in one year. And it’s not just soda that you need to consider. Click here to find out how much sugar is in your favorite beverages.

POWERFUL WEIGHT LOSS TIP
Drink mostly water or unsweetened, decaffeinated teas.

If there was one thing you could do today to dramatically improve your health and weight, including how you look and feel, it would be to stay away from all forms of liquid sugar. This includes sports drinks, flavored coffees and teas, energy drinks, juices, as well as soda. Here’s why:

  • Sugar consumption increases belly fat and this makes it harder to zip up your jeans – not a good way to start the day.
  • Carrying around extra pounds in your mid-section, often referred to as love handles or a pot belly, is serious business. Extra weight in this area (as opposed to your hips and thighs) is associated with dangerous health consequences such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome.
  • Liquid calories don’t fill you up and they can increase your appetite so you end up eating more than you normally would in a day.

So, if you’re looking for one of the most effective ways to help banish your belly fat, stay away from sugary drinks.

Now I’d love to hear from you.
